From sales to the skies, for daredevil Angela!

Despite the recent wintery weather, Angela was ready and raring to go on Monday morning after generous friends, family and colleagues pledged over £1000 to see the ‘daring one of the bunch’ take on the incredible challenge of her first ever skydive – reaching a very dizzy height of 11,000 feet.

Joined by a group of 7 other divers, Angela was the first out of the plane and was cheered on by her friends and family who joked that they could hear her before they could see her as she emerged through the clouds!

The £1000 raised is to be donated to St. Joseph’s Hospice, a charity based in Thornton just north of Liverpool where they run a 31-bed hospice offering end-of-life care for people in the area and beyond.

The charity is extremely close to Angela’s heart, after the team there cared for her dad, who had also worked closely with St. Joseph’s, after he became ill in and sadly passed away in 2019.

Angela said;

Skydiving for St. Joseph’s hospice has been a one in a lifetime experience and being able to do this in memory of my dad, and to show my support for all the amazing staff at the hospice is something I’ll never forget. The charity relies heavily on donations from the public so every penny really does count. The money raised will help the hospice team help other families like mine when they need it most”.

As much as Ange has a new-found love for skydiving, we’re pleased to say that she’s now back doing what she loves most this week, helping customers find their dream homes. Angela is our lead sales negotiator for Hazlehurst, our stunning development of over 55s apartments in Sandymoor, Runcorn, which you can find out more about here https://www.opendoor-homes.co.uk/hazlehurst

On behalf of everyone at Open Door, and our parent company Halton Housing, well done Angela! we’re all so proud of you.
