Hazlehurst is Now Full!

George Waltzes into his new home – Hazlehurst now fully sold! 

We’re delighted to share that Hazlehurst has officially danced its way to full occupancy! The final Shared Ownership apartment has been snapped up by Ballroom Dancer George who moved into his brand-new apartment at our hugely popular Independent Living Scheme earlier this week.  

This is a fantastic milestone that highlights the huge success and popularity of our Independent Living schemes. Since opening its doors in November 2022, Hazlehurst has become much more than a place to live, it’s grown into a vibrant, connected community for people aged 55 and over. The development combines stylish, energy-efficient apartments with fantastic communal areas, including the popular 1816 Bistro, lounges, and gardens - all designed to support independence, wellbeing and social connection.  

It’s been great to hear how much residents are enjoying life at Hazlehurst already. You can see some of our happy residents pictured here – each one a testament to the positive impact that Hazlehurst has had on their lives.  

One resident told us: 

“It’s lovely here - I’ve made new friends, there’s always someone to have a chat with, and I still feel like I’ve got my own space and independence.” 

Another said: 

“The move has really lifted me. I feel like I’ve got my confidence back and I’m part of something.” 

Hazlehurst follows on from the success of our other independent living schemes, Naughton Fields and Barkla Fields, and it’s brilliant to see this latest one already making such a difference.
